Our story

It began with one rooftop holud and a borrowed dhol.

In 2014, three friends from Charukola decorated a cousin's gaye holud on a Dhanmondi rooftop — hand-painted alpona, five hundred marigold strings and a dhol player found that morning at Shahbagh. By midnight, three guests had asked for their number.

Today Utsob is a 65-person studio with its own fabrication workshop, sound & light inventory and a network of folk artists from all 64 districts. What hasn't changed: we still treat every event like it's family.

What we believe

Our values

Rooted in Culture

Every design starts with heritage — motifs, music and rituals honoured, never caricatured.

Honest Budgets

Line-item quotes, no hidden mark-ups. If something changes, you'll know first.

Obsessive Craft

From stitch to spotlight, details are checked twice and rehearsed once more.

Kind to Earth

Jute, bamboo and reusable decor; leftover food donated through local partners.

Our journey

Twelve years of dhol beats

A few milestones from a decade-plus of turning ordinary dates into days people remember.
